Interested in advertising here at The Bawdy Book Blog?  I would be, too, because this place is awesomesauce.  Advertising here means a) you aren’t getting kicked out of your local book store for moving your books to the bestsellers pile, b) stalking the stacks to randomly assault readers while fiendishly clutching your latest release with a wild look in your eyes, and c) it also means you’re brilliant.  Hey, I’m biased.

You have a number of options: Amazon widgets, simple ads above and below the fold, skyscraper ads and footer ads, all at very reasonable prices.  To discuss advertising further, please send an email to me (Jennifer) at bawdybooks@gmail.com.

 

Pricing Structure & Size Examples

Simple Ad Large (approx. 206×315)

  • Above the fold (just under the Email Subscription widget) – $10/week
  • Below the fold (just under my Rating System widget) – $7/week

Simple Ad Small (approx. 138×210)

  • Above the fold (just under the Email Subscription widget) – $7/week
  • Below the fold (just under my Rating System widget) – $5/week

Amazon Widget Ads

  • Above the fold (just under the Email Subscription widget) – $12/week
  • Below the fold (just under my Rating System widget) – $10/week

Skyscraper Ads (160×600)**

  • Above the fold (just under the Email Subscription widget) – $15/week
  • Below the fold (just under my Rating System widget) – $12/week

Here are some things you need to know before emailing

  • Ads will show in the right side bar, unless you have purchased a footer ad
  • Ads are implemented at the start of the week on Sunday afternoons (exact time may vary by a couple of hours) and will cycle weekly.
  • If you are interested in advertising with a .gif image or .swf file, you must provide your own coding
  • Files accepted: .gif, .jpg, & .png (files accepted are subject to negotiation) – Please, no larger than 75k so it doesn’t fudge with page load times
  • If you do not provide your own image, I will pull from your Goodreads or Amazon cover image
  • You must provide payment via Paypal, before the Sunday you would like your ad to appear
  • You must provide a product or website URL to link to your advertisement
  • Your ad must be book-related, in some way
  • I do not accept ads for Erotica novels, sorry
  • If I decide to cancel an ad for any reason before the week is up, you will receive a prorated refund of your purchase price
  • If you decide to cancel an ad for any reason after the ad is in place, you forfeit your refund
  • An advertisement at The Bawdy Book Blog does not equal an endorsement
  • All advertising monies collected at The Bawdy Book Blog will be funneled back into the blog for site hosting, giveaways and other operational costs
  • Terms, conditions and rates are subject to change (all advertisements booked prior to changes will remain as is)
